Fish Dash
Summary
Fish Dash has no sign-in. The game has an online leaderboard: when you finish a run, your score, display name and avatar (one of your in-game fish) are sent to our leaderboard server under a random ID created by the game, not linked to your identity. The game shows ads from Google AdMob, and uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played (for example which zones or bosses are too hard). Google may collect some device information for both, as described below. The game itself can be played offline.
Information we collect
The game has no sign-in and no purchases with real money. We do not receive your name, email, precise location, contacts or photos. The only information we see is:
- your leaderboard entry and runs, described under Online leaderboard;
- anonymous gameplay statistics from Google Analytics for Firebase, described under Analytics.
Information stored on your device
To remember your progress, the game keeps a small save file on your own device only. It contains:
- your best score and the furthest zone you reached;
- in-game coins, and the fish, bubble and shield skins you own and use;
- your settings (music and sound volume, language) and whether you have seen the tutorial;
- for the leaderboard: the random ID the game created, your leaderboard sign-in token, display name and avatar, when you last changed them (you can change them once every 5 minutes), and runs not yet sent while you were offline.
This file stays on your device; only the leaderboard data listed under Online leaderboard is sent to our server. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data in Android settings deletes the file. Your entry on the leaderboard server stays until it is deleted as described below.
Online leaderboard
The first time the game reaches the leaderboard, it creates a guest leaderboard account on a server operated by iMango Studio. You do not enter any personal details. The server stores:
- a random ID generated by the game when it is installed (not your device's advertising ID or any hardware identifier);
- your display name: a generated name such as "Player1234" until you change it in the leaderboard screen;
- your avatar: which of your in-game fish skins you picked to show next to your name (only the skin's name, such as "gold"; no picture is uploaded);
- for each finished run: the score, how long it lasted, the zone reached and the zone it started from, bosses defeated, revives used, and when it was played;
- your best weekly and all-time scores, and when the account was created and last used;
- a hash of your sign-in token (never the token itself).
Other players can see your display name, avatar, score and rank on the leaderboard, so do not use your real name or anything personal as your display name. Your IP address is used by the server to limit abuse and may appear in its technical logs; it is not stored with your leaderboard account. We use this data only to run the leaderboard and to remove cheating or offensive names; we do not sell it or share it with anyone.
Deleting your leaderboard data: email us (below) with your display name and we will delete your leaderboard account, runs and scores within 30 days. If you have already uninstalled the game, tell us your display name and roughly when you last played.
Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To see how the game is played and make it better, for example to find zones or bosses that are too hard, the game sends anonymous usage statistics to Google Analytics for Firebase:
- game events: runs started, ended or left, score, time played and how the run ended, zones reached, bosses fought and defeated, revives, rewarded ads watched, coins earned and spent, shop purchases with coins, skins equipped, the tutorial and practice runs, and opening the leaderboard, changing your display name (the name itself is not sent) or picking an avatar;
- progress summaries: best score, furthest zone, coins, number of skins owned and game language;
- information Firebase collects on its own: an app instance ID, your device's advertising ID when ads consent allows it, device model, operating system, language, app version, approximate location (country / city) derived from your IP address, and when and how long the game is opened.
We see these statistics only as totals in Google Analytics; they are not linked to your name or to your leaderboard account. Google keeps them for up to 14 months. See Privacy and Security in Firebase and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the answers you give in Google's consent form also apply to analytics: without consent to store information on your device, analytics does not store identifiers, and your advertising ID is only used with consent. Anywhere, resetting or deleting your advertising ID in Android settings also applies to analytics.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows a banner ad on some game-over screens (one in three), and optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch to revive or to earn coins. These ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- your device's advertising ID;
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system, language and app version;
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- ad interactions, such as ads viewed or tapped.
This data goes directly to Google; we do not receive it. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google's consent form before personalised ads are shown. Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Permissions
- Internet and network state: used to load ads, send analytics and use the leaderboard. The game plays without a connection; ads are simply not shown then, and analytics and runs for the leaderboard are sent later.
- Advertising ID: used by Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase as described above. The leaderboard does not use it.
- Vibration: short haptic feedback during play.
Third-party services
Google Play (download and updates), Google AdMob (ads) and Google Analytics for Firebase (usage statistics), all under the Google Privacy Policy. The leaderboard runs on our own server; data between the game and the server is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
Children
Fish Dash is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes how data is used (for example adding sign-in or purchases), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
